Looking Back... June 25, 2011

What a great day it was on June 25, 2011. It was the day I married my best friend. The man of my dreams, the man that still knows how to make my heart go pitter patter on a daily basis. The man I call my husband. I couldn't be any happier then I am now. I am happily married and it's my honor to share our wedding pictures with you. My wedding was a dream come true and it will be a day I will never forget thanks to all of our friends and family who helped it become a true success. It was beautiful and perfect for us.

Following the Fosters

Hello World!
It's been a while since our last post, but things have been going quite well! As most of you know, we are now married and will celebrate 6 GREAT months on Christmas Day. We have both been very busy these past few months. As soon as we got back from our honeymoon- I headed to school to set up my first classroom and prepare for teaching second grade and Scott continued to fix several... many... A LOT of hail dents from the massive hail storms we had. Luckily, things have slowed down for Scott and I and I am counting down the days until Christmas Break!

Here's one of our wedding pictures- Hopefully I will get around to posting more wedding pictures as well as pictures from our Honeymoon and get you caught up on the Foster's!

A Very Productive Day

Today was what I call a VERY PRODUCTIVE DAY! And I definitely needed one of those.

Thanks to my dear friend/Bridesmaid Traci I was able to almost finish all of the wedding programs, paint a mailbox, clothespins, picture frames, burlap and meet with the guys who are catering the wedding.

The big stressor here lately has been the wedding programs, and the good news is that I am almost done! Traci was SO much help today. From blinging to rounding corners to hole punching to tying ribbon- she did it ALL. It feels so good to have them almost done. Now all I have to do is go back to Hobby Lobby tomorrow for the 5, 342 time and buy some more ribbon.

I also painted a mailbox today to put on the gift table for cards at the reception. = ) It turned out pretty cute!!

And my last big project of the day, which I just finished a few minutes ago were burlap letters that say "Mr & Mrs" and "Just Married". I was going to order some on Etsy, but since we are now down to 10 fingers and 7 toes (Scott's way of counting down) I was afraid we might not have enough time. So I decided to make my own.... and they work for me!

I hope everyones having a GREAT week!

What We've Been Up To These Days...

Tis the season to be very busy! Both Scott and I have been extremely busy these past few weeks. Scott has been working long hours each day fixing cars, while I've been playing arts and crafts and trying to "plan" a wedding. The good news is that we are both getting lot's done in a little amount of time, but the bad news is, that there's not much time to see each other. Since Scott's working so many hours, I take advantage of the opportunity to take him dinner so that I can visit with him for a little bit at work. I've even been taking some of my exciting projects up there to his job and completing them there. Even though we do not talk as much while were both working extremely hard, it's still nice to be in each other's presence! I do admire Scott for how hard he works. It takes a special person to work as many hours as he does and still remain positive and in an amazing mood at all times!

I felt like tonight has been a pretty productive night. Unfortunately, I did not get to go see Scott tonight due to the "storms" that are rolling in, but I did manage to finish up all of my thank you notes and even made my candy buffet labels. Now, I'm planning on starting on some wedding programs, or the wedding is going to be here before I know it, and no one's going to have a program to fan themselves with on the hot day of June!

I hope everyone's having a wonderful week, and if you live in Northwest Arkansas, stay safe tonight!

Wedding Porgrams

As most of you know, I have tried to be the DIY bride and SAVE money. For the most part, this has worked out pretty well. But, I have to admit, I have been struggling with these crazy wedding programs, and they were about to get the best of me! In fact, I was almost willing to pay the $600 the stores want for them, and forget trying to do it myself. But.... after several hours mixed in with several different days I finally figured it out! = ) The problem I was having with the programs all along was that I could not figure out the width of the columns. For some reason, when I would print the document, the center column would be smaller than the outer two columns. So, I decided to eliminate one of the columns, and bring it down to a two column document! And it worked!! I LOVE the "sample program".... but now I have to create about 250 more, eeek! If anyone get's bored, let me know, I sure could use the help!

Church Shower

This past Sunday five lovely ladies hosted a shower for Scott and I at the church. It was decorated beautifully and we got tons of GREAT gifts. Thank you ladies for hosting the shower, and thank you to those of you who attended or sent a gift.
